After shooting across Mumbai, Goa and Hyderabad, Hi Nanna, an upcoming film starring Nani and Mrunal Thakur has moved on to shooting in the scenic locales of Coonoor. The film, starring Nani and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles, is written and directed by debut filmmaker Shoryuv. Shruti Hassan plays a crucial role in the film.

The film's first glimpse, which came out a while ago, revealed a somewhat cryptic plot, which showed that Mrunal, who plays a character named Yashna, could possibly be Nani's grown-up daughter or love interest. Nani plays a filmmaker.

A less cryptic film announcement that came last January revealed that Hi Nanna is a heartfelt tale of a  single father and his six-year-old daughter. Hi Nanna is Mrunal's second Telugu film after her debut in Sita Ramam last year. She is also committed to starring in SVC54/VD 14 opposite Vijay Deverakonda. 

Hi Nanna is releasing on December 21 this year. The film is produced by Dr Vijayendra Reddy Teegala and Mohan Cherukuri (CVM) under the banner Vyra Entertaintainments. Sanu Jose Varghese is the cinematographer of the film, with editing by Praveen Anthony and production design by Avinash Kolla.
