Rakshasa Kavyam, an upcoming action film starring Pelli Choopulu-fame actor Abhay Naveen (also credited as Abhay Bethiganti), is releasing on October 6. The makers made this announcement on Friday afternoon. The film also stars Anvesh Michael, Pawan Ramesh, Dayanand Reddy, Kushalini and Rohini in lead roles. Rakshasa Kavyam is produced by Damu Reddy and Shinganamala Kalyan under the banner Garuda Productions, Pingo Pictures and Cine Valley Movies. The film is co-produced by Naveen Reddy and Vasundhara Reddy. Umesh Nigg is the executive producer of the film. 

The makers of the film have previously released a single, namely Villains Anthem. The song was composed by RR Dhruvan, with lyrics by Kasarla Shyam and vocals by Rahul Sipligunj, Mangli and Ram Miriyala. It may be noted that Abhay Naveen will soon be making his directorial debut with a film titled Ramanna Youth, which is hitting theatres on September 15. 

Rakshasa Kavyam, as the teaser of the film indicates, is an action drama set in a rural area in two eras, namely, the 80s and the 00s. Rushi Konapuram is the cinematographer of the film, with music by Rajeev Raj and Srikanth M.
