On Tuesday, the makers of Mangalavaaram announced the film's trailer will be released on October 21. Directed by Ajay Bhupathi, the film stars Payal Rajput in the lead role. Nandita Shwetha also plays a key role in the film. 

Earlier, the makers released the film's teaser. The teaser of Mangalavaaram shows a group of villagers standing in groups and gaping at some mysterious and eerie happening, which is not revealed to us. The teaser suggests that the film will have mythical as well as horror elements. 

The film is a pan-Indian one titled Chovvazhcha in Malayalam and Mangalavaaram in Kannada and Chevvaikizhamai in Tamil. Mangalavaaram is produced by Swathi Gunupati and Suresh Varma M under the banners Mudhra Creative Works and A Creative Works respectively. 

Mangalavaaram's music is composed by Kantara fame Ajaneesh B Loknath. Mangalavaaram is all set to hit theatres on November 17.
