The makers of Vijay Deverakonda's tentatively titled film VD 13 or SVC 54 announced that the film's title would be revealed on October 18, 6:30 PM. Along with Vijay, the film also stars Mrunal Thakur in the lead role. The upcoming film will mark the first collaboration between the duo. 

VD 13 is directed by Parsuram. Parsuram has previously worked with Vijay in the 2018 family entertainer Geeta Govindam. 

VD 13 is produced by Dil Raju under the banner Sree Venkateshwara Creations. Gopi Sundar, who has also worked in Geeta Govindam, will be composing music for the film. KV Mohanan is the cinematographer of VD 13, with editing by Marthand K Venkatesh and production design by AS Prakash.
