The much-awaited title of SSMB 28, Mahesh Babu’s next directed by Trivikram Srinivas has been revealed as Guntur Kaaram. The title was announced with a glimpse video that was released with the re-release screenings of Mosagallaku Mosagadu. The 1971 film starring actor and Mahesh Babu's father Krishna in the lead was brought back to the big screens to celebrate his 80th birth anniversary. The veteran actor passed away due to a heart attack on November 15, 2022.
Guntur Kaaram also stars Sreeleela and Pooja Hegde. The film has music by Thaman, cinematography by PS Vinod, editing by Navin Nooli and production design by AS Prakash. Guntur Karam is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and S Sai Soujanya under the banner Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. Guntur Kaaram is the third collaboration of Trivikram Srinivas and Mahesh Babu, after Athadu and Khaleja. The film is slated to hit theatres on January 13, 2024.
