Ahimsa, Abhiram Daggubati’s debut film, is all set to hit theatres on June 2. The film was originally supposed to release on April 7. Ahimsa is the debut project of Abhiram, who is the son of veteran producer D Suresh Babu, nephew of actor Venkatesh and the younger brother of Rana Daggubati.

The film is written and helmed by cinematographer-turned-director Teja, whose earlier works include Jayam (2002), Nijam (2003), Oka V Chitram (2006) and Nene Raju Nene Mantri (2017), among others. Director Teja has a history of successfully launching actors. Uday Kiran, Reema Sen, Sadaa, Kajal Aggarwal and Venu Yeldandi are some of the actors Teja launched prior to this film.

Ahimsa also stars Geethika, Rajat Bedi, Sadha, Ravi Kale, Kamal Kamaraju, Manoj Tiger, Kalpalatha and Devi Prasad. The film is an action entertainer with elements of a procedural drama. RK Pattnaik is the music composer of Ahimsa. The film reunites RK Pattnaik and Teja after 18 years. They last worked together in Avunuanna Kadhanna. Coincidentally, Ahimsa also marks the third collaboration between Teja and actress Sada, after Jayam and Avunanna Kadhanna

The technical crew of Ahimsa comprises cinematographer Sameer Reddy, editing by Kotagiri Venkateshwara Rao and production design by Supriya.
