Agent, Akhil Akkineni's latest starrer which released last Friday will be out on SonyLiv from May 19 onwards. The OTT release date of Agent comes a mere three weeks after its theatrical release.

Agent, also starring Mammootty, Dino Morea and Sakshi Vaidya in her debut role, is a spy thriller about how Mahadev (Mammootty), a senior official at RAW, enlists the help of Ricky, a newbie to bring down an evil syndicate run by The God (Dino Morea), an ex-agent who is a former student of Mahadev. Sakshi Vaidya plays Vaidya, a pilot and Ricky's love interest. 

It is directed by Surender Reddy, with a script penned by Vakkantham Vamsi. Rasool Ellore is the cinematographer of the film, with editing by Navin Nooli and production design by Avinash Kolla. Hiphop Thamizha is the music composer of the film. 

The film opened to poor reviews and openings at the box office. After being unanimously panned for its weak story and incoherent direction, Anil Sunkara, the producer of Agent recently apologised to people for the film's poor output.
