Trailer of Dasara out; Nani and Srikanth Odela promise a grand and violent actioner

The makers of Dasara have unveiled the trailer of the Nani-starrer in an event organised in Lucknow. The two-minute-long trailer paints a clear picture of the film’s mood while revealing little about the story. Set in the rural interiors of Telangana in the backdrop of mining fields, the trailer begins with the introduction of Keerthy Suresh’s Vennala and goes on to introduce the protagonist Dharani as an alcoholic used to violent ways. Although the trailer doesn’t give away the conflict, it sets the stage for a face-off between characters played by Nani and Malayan actor Shine Tom Chacko, who seems to be playing a character with negative shades.

Dasara is directed by debutant Srikanth Odela. The trailer promises a violent actioner with liberal doses of bloodshed and ample action sequences that portray Nani in his most aggressive avatar yet, with the Ante Sundaraniki actor seen indulging in numerous bloody fight sequences in the trailer. Sathyan Sooryan’s striking cinematography—with ample silhouettes and sunny frames—and Santosh Narayanan’s music register a strong impression in the promo. The trailer ends with younger versions of Dharani and Vennala sharing an emotional moment which then cuts to their present versions, hinting that their relationship might be one of the central points of Dasara.

The film has editing by Navin Nooli while Avinash Kolla has served as the production designer. Thota Srinivas has penned the dialogues. Dasara is being promoted as Nani’s first pan-India release. The film, produced by SLV Cinemas, is set to release on March 30 in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.
