The official trailer of Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi was released on Saturday evening at the pre-release event of the film. The film will be hitting theatres on March 17.

Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi, also called PAPA, is written and directed by Srinivas Avasarala, who has earlier directed Oohalu Gusagusalade (2014) and Jyo Achyutananda (2016). PAPA stars Naga Shaurya and Malavika Nair in lead roles, marking the third collaboration between Shaurya and Srinivas.

In the two-minute-long trailer, we see the love story of the film's protagonists Sanjay and Anupama through a series of one-liners and dialogues. It is shown along with visuals that showcase the ups and downs of their journey through the period of a single decade in both India and the UK. Srinivas Avasarala also plays a supporting character in PAPA. Though the nature of his role was not revealed in the teaser, we find out in the trailer that he will be playing the potential romantic interest of Malavika Nair in the film.

PAPA also stars Megha Chowdhury, Ashok Kumar, Abhishek Maharshi, Srividya, Varanasi Soumya Chalamcharla, Harini Rao and Arjun Prasad in supporting roles. The film is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Padmaja Dasari. Srinivas's frequent collaborator Kalyani Malik is the music composer of PAPA, with Sunil Kumar Nama as the film's cinematographer, and Kiran Ganti, its editor.
