Mr Pregnant, an upcoming social drama film starring Syed Sohel Ryan and Roopa Kodayur, will hit the theatres on August 18. The makers of the film made the official announcement on Wednesday morning. The film's first look has its male lead with a baby bump while the female lead holds a mammogram in her hand.

The film teasers, which were released a few months ago, also indicate that the film is going to delve into the struggles faced by pregnant women with a touch of drama. Mr Pregnant also stars Suhasini Maniratnam playing the role of a doctor. The film also stars Raja Rabindra, Brahmaji, Ali and Harsha in supporting roles. 

Mr Pregnant is written and directed by Srinivas Vinjanampati and produced by Appi Reddy and Ravireddy Sajjala. The film has music composed by Shravan Bharadwaj, with cinematography by Nizar Shafi and editing by Prawin Pudi. Sohel, who was a former contestant of Bigg Boss Telugu, was last seen in the comedy film Organic Mama Hybrid Alludu opposite Mirnalini Ravi. Mr Pregnant is Roopa Koduvayur's second film after her debut in the Venkatesh Maha directorial Uma Maheshwara Ugra Roopasya. Roopa Koduvayur is also a medical doctor by profession.
