We had previously reported that actor Gopichand will be teaming up with filmmaker Sriwass for the third time after Lakshyam (2006) and Loukyam (2014). On the occasion of Sankranti, the makers of the film announced that the film is titled Rama Banam.
Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad through People Media Factory, the film stars Dimple Hayathi of Khiladi-fame as the female lead. Rama Banam is billed as a family film with an undercurrent of social message with Gopichand playing a different character in the film. The cast of the film includes Jagapathi Babu, Khushbu, Sachin Khedekar, Nasser, Ali, Raja Ravindra, Vennela Kishore and Saptagiri, among others.
The film has a story by Bhupathi Raja, while Vetri Palani Swamy and Mickey J Meyer are handling cinematography and music respectively. Prawin Pudi is the editor. Rama Banam will be hitting screens in summer this year.
