Pushpa: The Rise mints 10 million Rubles at Russia box office

We had earlier reported that Allu Arjun's latest blockbuster, Pushpa: The Rise, was releasing in Russia. Now, the makers have revealed that the film has collected over 10 million Rubles at the box office in Russia.

Pushpa, directed by Sukumar, was released in the Russian language in over 770 screens across the country on December 8. 

In a statement on Twitter, the makers, Mythri Movie Makers, said, "Pushpa is a RAGE in Russia. 25 days and counting of the successful run in 774 screens with a collection of over 10M Rubles," the production banner said in the tweet.

Ten million Rubles amount to approximately Rs 13 crore.  

The film, which also starred Rashmika Mandanna, Dhananjay, Fahadh Faasil, and Sunil, was about the rise of the titular character from a low-wage labourer to the top of a red sandalwood smuggling syndicate. 

The first instalment of the two-part series was released on December 17, 2021, and it went on to become one of the biggest money-spinners of the year earning over Rs 350 crore.

The sequel, titled, Pushpa: The Rule, is under production.
