Butta Bomma, Anikha Surendran's debut film as a lead actor, will be available for streaming on Netflix from Saturday.

It is the official Telugu adaptation of the Malayalam thriller Kappela (2020), is directed by Shouree Chandrasekhar T Ramesh, with dialogues penned by Ganesh Ravvuri. The film also stars Arjun Das in his Telugu debut, along with Surya Vashistta and Navya Swamy. 

The film, which had a theatrical release on February 4, is the story of Satya (Anikha Surendran), a girl from a village in Araku who falls in love with Murali (Surya Vashistta), an auto driver she has never met, over the phone. Things take a turn for the worse when the young lovers decide to meet in Vizag, only to be stalked relentlessly by RK, played by Arjun Das. The role of Satya was played by Anna Ben in the Malayalam original. 

Butta Bomma is produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under their banner Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. The film's music is composed by Gopi Sundar, with cinematography by Vamshi Patchipulusu. Vivek Annamalai and Navin Nooli are art director and editor respectively.
