Dead Pixels, a gamer comedy, starring Alexa Davies, Will Merrick, and Sargon Yelda, and produced by Succession-fame creator Jesse Armstrong is slated for a Telugu remake. The Indian adaptation is greenlit by the streaming platform Disney + Hotstar, and jointly produced by BBC Studios India and the Hyderabad-based production company Tamada Media.

Dead Pixels follows the lives of three friends who are obsessed with a video game named Kingdom Scrolls, and how their virtual life affects their real life and vice versa.

The adaptation brings the story from the UK to Hyderabad, with Akshay Poolla penning the adapted screenplay and Aditya Mandala, who has directed the 2020 film Maa Vintha Gadha Vinuma, helming the series. The yet-to-be-titled show stars Niharika Konidela, Harsha Chemudu, Sai Ronak, Akshay Lagusani and Bhavana Sagi in principal roles.

Dead Pixels aired on E4, a British television channel, from 2019 to 2021 for two seasons, and was later picked up in the US by CW network.

Tamada Media is a new media and digital entertainment company, who are known for their YouTube web series Beauty and the Boss, Geetha Subramanayam, The Sotari Brothers and Vaddante Vasthave Prema.
