Devi Sri Prasad gets Ilayaraaja's blessings after winning National Award

The 69th National Film Awards announced on Thursday, that the Telugu film industry has won big this time, with the crown jewel being SS Rajamouli. The film bagged six awards. 

In addition to this, Allu Arjun won the Best Actor award for his role in Pushpa: The Rise, thus becoming the first Telugu actor to take the award to his land, and Uppena bagged the Best Telugu Film. Chandrabose won Best Lyrics for Konda Polam, while Devi Sri Prasad won Best Music Direction for his score in Pushpa.

Following this, Devi Sri Prasad personally met veteran music composer Ilayaraaja and took his blessings.

The acclaimed music composer took to his X handle and posted a video of his meeting with him, and wrote, "Met my God of music Ilayaraaja sir and took his blessings and wishes for my national award. Thank you dearest Isaignani Ilayaraaja sir for all the inspiration that led me to the National Award."

In an earlier tweet, he thanked his fans, friends and mentors from the film fraternity and said, "Thank you all for showering so much love on my music that blessed me with the National Award for Best Music Director for Pushpa. My first and foremost thanks and pranams to my mother Siromani garu, my father Sri Satyamurty garu and my guru Sri Mandolin U Shrinivas anna. As soon as I got the news, I told my mother and headed to my Guru's house (my temple) to seek his blessings. Thank you darling @aryasukku bhai, my brother icon star @alluarjun and @MythriOfficial and my #DSPTeam. A lot more people to thank...through a video tomorrow. Love you all."
