69th National Film Award: RRR wins big with six awards 

RRR won the Wholesome Entertainer Award, Best Male Playback singer, Best Stunt Choreographer, Best Choreographer , Best Special Effects Creator, among others

RRR, the pan-Indian Telugu film which got much international acclaim through Oscars, also gabbed multiple awards under various categories at the 69th National Film Awards, which was announced on Thursday.

RRR won the Wholesome Entertainer Award, Best Male Playback singer (Kaala Bhairava), Best Stunt Choreographer (King Soloman), Best Choreographer (Prem Rakshit), Best Special Effects Creator, Best Background Score (MM Keeravani), Best Special Effects (V Srinivas Mohan).

Speaking about the win, producer SS Karthikeya said to CE, “I am happy that at this year's awards, everybody who worked in RRR got their deserved recognition. It makes me very happy that Prem Rakshit, King Soloman, Kaala Bhairva and the whole team of RRR won at various and multiple categories. We had put all our heart and soul in the film. Yes, we did get recognized at the international level, but it has been an incredible journey coming from there, to this. It is a surreal experience to take all the love from Indians.”

RRR is directed by SS Rajamouli and stars Ram Charan and Junior NTR in the lead roles.
