The lyrical video of Danger Pilla, the first single from Extra, has been unveiled on Wednesday evening. Extra, written and directed by Vakkantham Vamsi, marks the seasoned screenwriter's return to the director's chair five years after the release of Na Peru Surya, Na Illu India, which starred Allu Arjun in the lead role.

Extra stars Nithiin and Sree Leela in the lead roles. Danger Pilla is composed by Harris Jayaraj, who is also the music composer of the film. The song is sung by Buttabomma-fame vocalist Armaan Malik, with lyrics by Krishnakanth and additional vocals by Samuel Nicholas. The song, set in a foreign location, has dance steps choreographed by Sekhar master. Danger Pilla is a romantic number picturised on Nithiin and Sreeleela.

Extra, also titled as Extra - The Ordinary Man, is a meta-movie on the film industry. Nithiin presumably plays the role of an extra in the film. Extra is produced by N Sudhakar Reddy and Nikitha Reddy. Arthur A Wilson, J Yuvaraj and Sai Sriram are the cinematographers of the film, with editing by Prawin Pudi and Art Direction by Sahi Suresh.

Nithiin was last seen in Macherla Niyojakavargam and Rang De opposite Krithi Shetty and Keerthy Suresh, respectively.
