Bholaa Shankar censored U/A

The Chiranjeevi-starrer is hitting theatres on August 11

Bholaa Shankar, Chiranjeevi's upcoming film, has been censored with a U/A certificate. The film, also starring Keerthy Suresh, Tamannaah and Sushanth, is set to release on August 11. In the remake of the Tamil film Vedalam, Chiranjeevi will be reprising the role played by Ajith in the original. While Vedalam was directed by Siruthai Siva, Bholaa Shankar is helmed by Meher Ramesh. The latter is an action entertainer set in Kolkata. Mamidala Thirupathi has written the dialogues of Bholaa Shankar. Meher has earlier directed films in Kannada and Telugu. His notable directorials include Billa, Shakti, Kantri and Veera Kannadiga, the Kannada remake of Andhrawala.

Bholaa Shankar also stars Murali Sharma, Raghu Babu, Ravi Shankar, Vennela Kishore, Sreemukhi, Tulasi, Bithiri Sathi, Satya, Getup Srinu, Rashmi Gautam and Uttej in supporting roles. The film is produced by Anil Sunkara, under the banner AK Entertainments, which has previously backed the 2023 releases Agent and Samajavaragamana. Veteran music composer Mani Sharma's son Mahati Swara Sagar is the music composer of Bholaa Shankar, with cinematography by Dudley, editing by Marthand K Venkatesh and production design by AS Prakash.
