Cricket Rap Song from Dasara Out

The song features lyrics by Shan Vincent De Paul and Kasarla Shyam

The Cricket Rap, the song from Dasara was unveiled on Thursday. The song appears in one of the most crucial and dramatic portions in the first half of the film, at a cricket match. The rap is performed by Santhosh Narayanan, the music composer of Dasara along with Shan Vincent De Paul, an Eelam Tamil musician of Canadian nationality. The Telugu rap lyrics were written by Shyam Kasarla, while the English rap was penned by Shan Vincent De Paul. It may be noted that Shan Vincent De Paul and Santhosh Narayanan are a part of AR Rahman’s Maajja artists collective.

Dasara, a coming-of-age action drama with elements of revenge, is headlined by Nani. The film, which also stars Keerthy Suresh, Dheekshith Shetty and Shine Tom Chacko in supporting roles, is written and directed by Srikanth Odela. The film is set in the coal mines of Veerlapally. Dasara is a hit at the Box Office, earning more than 100 crore rupees in gross collections, domestically. Santhosh Narayanan is the music composer of the film, with cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan, editing by Navin Nooli and production design by Avinash Kolla.
