The teaser of Yashoda starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu was released by the makers on social media on Friday.

It reveals Samantha portraying the the titular character Yashoda. As she visits a doctor, it is revealed that she is pregnant. While the doctor is seen giving a number of advices to follow during the pregnancy period, the scene cuts to several instances where Samantha is seen doing everything that she is asked not to.

The teaser was released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.

Yashoda is directed by Hari Shankar-Harish Narayan, and also features Unni Mukundan and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar as other leads. Besides, the film also has Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Shatru, Madhurima, Kalpika Ganesh, Divya Sripada and Priyanka Sharma in supporting roles.

The film was initially scheduled for a theatrical release on August 12, but the team has decided to postpone it due to delay in post-production works. However, the new release date is yet to be finalised. The music for the film is composed by Mani Sharma. Yashoda is backed by Sridevi Movies
