Sarkaru Vaari Paata: Mahesh Babu's film collects Rs 230 crore in 50 days

Actor Mahesh Babu’s latest outing Sarkaru Vaari Paata, which released in theatres on May 12, has collected Rs 230 crore (gross) at the box office, during its 50-day run in theatres worldwide, the makers said in a note, shared on Thursday.

Billed to be an action entertainer, Sarkaru Vaari Paata is directed by Parasuram and jointly by Mythri Movie Makers, 14 Reels Plus Entertainment and GMB Entertainment.

As per the note, the film has collected a share of Rs 126 crore and Rs 230 crore gross. While Keerthy Suresh plays the female lead, the film also stars Samuthirakani, Nadiya, Subbaraju, Brahmaji, and Vennela Kishore in pivotal roles. The music for this film was composed by Thaman.

The film sheds light on rising bad loans and how the government is failing to exercise its power to protect wilful defaulters, who are affecting loan recovery.

It is currently available on Amazon Prime Video for streaming.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Mahesh Babu will be collaborating with directors Trivikram and SS Raajamouli for yet-to-be titled films.
