Chiranjeevi, Mohan Babu mourn Bappi Lahiri's death

Veteran music composer Bappi Lahiri (69) passed away due to Obstructive Sleep Apnea on Wednesday in Mumbai.

The sudden death of the hitmaker has left many fans and admirers shocked. Several Telugu stars paid tribute on various social media platforms to the late composer and recollected his chartbuster compositions.

Actor Chiranjeevi, who worked with Bappi Lahiri in films like State Rowdy, Gang Leader, Rowdy Alludu and Big Boss took to Twitter to attribute his works as timeless classics.

"Deeply anguished by the demise of legendary music composer & singer Bappi Lahiri. I had a great association with Bappi da. He gave numerous chartbusters for me which contributed immensely to my films popularity. He will always be remembered for his unique style & his great enthusiasm for life which reflected his music. My heartfelt condolences to all his near and dear," wrote Chiranjeevi on Twitter.

Actor Mohan Babu, who teamed up with the late composer in films such as Rowdy Gari Pellam, Donga Police, Brahma and Punya Bhoomi Naa Desam, expressed his condolences and wrote, "Saddened to hear the demise of Shri Bappi Lahiri, one of the Legendary Music Composers of India, had the honour of working with him for 3 super hit movies in which his songs played a crucial role. Had a long association with him. I pray for his family's strength. Om Shanti! (sic)."
