The principal photography of Mahesh Babu's upcoming film, SSMB 28, directed by Trivikram Srinivas, has been delayed by a month. Initially, the makers have decided to commence the shoot on December 8, but now they have changed the plans as Mahesh wanted to go on a vacation. The shoot of the first schedule will begin post-Sankranthi.

"Mahesh wanted to take a break till Sankranthi and has personally requested Trivikram to plan the schedule accordingly. The first schedule will now begin after January 17 and will go on for 45 days without any break," says a source.

Meanwhile, the final narration of SSMB 28 will take place in Dubai later this week. "Trivikram along with producer S Radha Krishna and cinematographer PS Vinod has jetted off to Dubai on Tuesday. They will meet Mahesh and Thaman over there for a detailed narration before kick-starting the proceedings. That's not all, Trivikram is also planning to complete the music sessions in this trip that is expected to last for a week," the source adds.

The makers are planning to wrap up the entire shoot of SSMB 28 by May and release the film during the Independence Day weekend.

Produced by Haarika & Hassine Creations, SSMB 28 has Pooja Hegde playing the female lead. In addition to this film, Mahesh is also committed to working with SS Rajamouli in a jungle adventure film. Produced by KL Narayana, the film, addressed as SSMB 29, will go on floors in June. Buzz is that the makers are considering Deepika Padukone to play the female lead of the film. An official update is awaited from the makers.
