Over 200 special shows of Pokiri organised for Mahesh Babu's birthday

On the occasion of Mahesh Babu’s birthday on Tuesday, the actor’s fans have organised over 200 special shows of Pokiri, which was a box office success released in 2006.

A landmark film in Mahesh’s career, the film was directed by filmmaker Puri Jagannadh and also stars Prakash Raj, Naasar, Ileana D’Cruz, Sayaji Shinde, among others. The film was remade in Tamil by Prabhudheva, with Vijay starring in it and went on to become a blockbuster.

16 years since the release, fans have now organised over 200 shows of the film across the world. It is to be noted that it is the biggest release for special shows in the entire country. Total collections from the shows will be donated to MB Foundation.
