Actor Sai Dharam Tej was critically wounded in a road accident near Durgam Cheruvu cable bridge, Hyderabad, on Friday.

Reportedly, Sai Dharam Tej was driving a sports bike that skidded off the road. According to preliminary reports, he sustained severe injuries in his right eye and chest.

Reports further added that an unconscious Sai Dharam Tej was rushed to a private hospital in Madhapur and that a few minutes ago, he was shifted to Apollo Hospital in Jubilee hills. The doctors attending him are inspecting for internal injuries, if any.

According to a statement from his spokesperson, Sai Dharam Tej's condition remains to be stable and he is currently under precautionary care in the hospital.

Sai Dharam Tej, who is the nephew of actors Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan, has made his acting debut with YVS Chowdhary's youthful entertainer Rey.

The actor is currently awaiting the release of Dev Katta's social drama Republic, which is slated to release on October 1.
