With GV Prakash's Kalvan gearing up for a release on April 4, the makers released a new song titled Adi Kattazhagu Karuvaachi. Composed and sung by Gv Prakash, the song has lyrics written by Maya Mahalingam and Ekadesi.

Kalvan is directed by cinematographer PV Shankar. The film features an ensemble cast including Dheena, Bharathiraja, Ivana, G Gnanasambandam, Vinoth Munna, Jenson Dhivakar, Prasanna Balachandran and Nivedita.

The film has been mostly shot in and around the Sathyamangalam forest reserve. Director PV Shankar and Ramesh Aiyappan have jointly scripted Kalvan. Interestingly, the director is handling the film's cinematography as well. Besides playing the lead. Reva has composed the background score for Kalvan and San Lokesh serves as the editor.
