The video of 'Chola Chola' song from the recently released Ponniyin Selvan, was released by the makers on social media on Friday. 

The song stars Vikram as Aditha Karikalan as he dances in a trance state with his Chola army men. The song is composed by AR Rahman, with lyrics penned by Ilango Krishnan. D Sathyaprakash, VM Mahalingam and Nakul Abhyankar has sung the song. 

Ponniyin Selvan is helmed by Mani Ratnam and the first part of the historical drama was released in theatres on September 30. The film is based on Kalki's novel by the same name and is a fictional take on the Chola dynasty that once ruled parts of Tamil Nadu. The film boasts an ensemble star cast including Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Aishwarya Rai, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Jayaram, Sarathkumar, among others. 

The film is backed by Madras Talkies in association with Lyca Productions. The second installment is expected to hit the theatres in 2023.
