The first official trailer for the upcoming Tamil thriller film titled D3 has been released online. D3 revolves around a series of gripping events happening in a day. It stars Prajin in the lead role while Vidya Pradeep plays the female lead. The film is reportedly based on real-life events. 

D3 is directed by Balaaji who has also written the screenplay and penned the dialogues for the film. According to the director, actor Charlie plays a crucial role in the film, he is most noted for playing comedic roles in the 90s and early 2000s, appearing in films like Poove Unakkaga and Vetri Kodi Kattu. 

A portion of the film has been shot in and around locations in Kutralam. Manoj is producing the film under his banner BMASS Entertainment along with Samuel Godson, who is producing it under his JKM Productions. 

The cast of the film also includes Rahul Madhav, Abhishek Kumar, Varghese Mathew, Gayathiri Yuvaraj, and Aroul D Shankar in supporting roles. Manikandan BK has handled the cinematography while Raja Aarumugam has taken care of the editing. The music for the film has been composed by Sreejith Edavana. Although the makers have not confirmed a release date, it was announced that the film will release in November.
