The teaser of Santhanam-starrer Agent Kannayiram has been released. It is the remake of the Telugu blockbuster Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya. The 2019-released investigative comedy-thriller starred Naveen Polishetty and Shruti Sharma in the leads. 

The Tamil version has Santhanam reprising Naveen's titular character, a rookie detective. Manoj Beedha of Vanjagar Ulagam-fame is directing the film.

Agent Kannayiram also stars Riya Suman, Sruthi Hariharan, Pugazh (Cooku With Comali), Muniskanth, E Ramadoss, AruviMadhan, Aadhira, and others. Guru Somasundaram, last seen in Minnal Murali, will also be appearing in a cameo role. 

With music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the film is being produced by Labrynth Films, who had also produced director Manoj's Vanjagar Ulagam.
