Ashok Selvan-starrer Manmadha Leelai's teaser was released on February 10. The short video is racy, and it features Ashok Selvan kissing one of the female lead characters of the film. The film is directed by Venkat Prabhu with music composed by his brother Premgi Amaren. The film has cinematography by Tamizh Azhagan. 

The film has Samyuktha Hegde, Smruthi Venkat and Riya Suman cast opposite Ashok Selvan in the film. While sharing the first look poster, he shared, "From a fanboy to working with Venkat Prabhu anna, a surreal moment for me. Presenting you the first look of 'Manmatha Leelai', a Venkat Prabhu Quickie! Film is a blast! (sic)."

The film which has the same title as Kamal Haasan's 1976 film seems to center on a similar subject, the journey of a cassanova. 

Venkat Prabhu's last directorial -- Maanadu starring Silambarasan -- was a huge hit. The film marked actor Simbu's return to the big screen.
