The makers of the Vijay-starrer Varisu announced that the second single, Thee Thalapathy, will release on Sunday at 4 pm.

The announcement poster features the chess king engulfed in fire. Earlier, the makers released the Tamil and Telugu versions of Ranjithame, the first single. The film is all set for Pongal 2023 release.

Billed as a family entertainer, Varisu is directed by Telugu filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally, who marks his debut in the Tamil film industry. The film is backed by Dil Raju and Shirish under Sri Venkateshwara Creations banner. Vamshi has written the film along with Hari and Ashishor Solomon.

Besides Vijay, the film also features Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead, with Prabhu, Sarath Kumar, Prakash Raj, Khushbu, Jayasudha, Srikanth, Shaam, Yogi Babu, Sangeetha and Samyuktha. The technical crew includes cinematographer Karthik Palani, editor KL Praveen and music composer S Thaman.
