The makers of Ponniyin Selvan-1 have released a short video featuring behind the scenes footage during the making of Chola Chola song. Director Mani Ratnam and dance choreographer Brinda are seen giving instructions to Vikram in the video. The song, which tells the glory of the Chola dynasty, is accompanied by fast-paced beats. 

Composed by AR Rahman, it is voiced by Sathya Prakash, VM Mahalingam and Nakul Abhyankar. Ilango Krishnan has penned the lyrics.

The film, based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's novel, is adapted by Mani Ratnam, along with Elango Kumaravel and B Jeyamohan. It is produced jointly by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions. The star cast includes Jayam Ravim, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Rahman, Riyaz Khan, Babu Antony and R Parthiban.

Ponniyin Selvan-1 is set to hit screens worldwide on September 30 in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi languages.
