The trailer of Vignesh Shivan's Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal has been released. It begins with the three leads, Nayanthara, Samantha and Vijay Sethupathi meeting each other in a temple -- a setting that is reminiscent of a famous scene from Vijay's Kushi. Similarly, the trailer has shots that remind us of iconic scenes from films like Titanic, Baahubali, and Satya.

From the trailer, we gather that Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal is a triangular love story in which Nayanthara's Kanmani, and Samantha's Khatija try to win over Rambo, played by Vijay Sethupathi. How he navigates this could be the crux of the film.

Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal also stars Prabhu, Kalaa master, Redin Kingsley, and Sreesanth in supporting roles. The film, which has music scored by Anirudh Ravichander,   Incidentally, this is the composer's 25th film. Vignesh Shivan's previous films, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, Thaanaa Serndha Koottam and Love Panna Uttranum, his segement in the Netflix anthology Paava Kadhaigal, also had music by Anirudh.

Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, produced by Seven Screen Studios and Rowdy Pictures, is slated to be released in theaters on April 28.
