Aranmanai 3 Trailer Out: Loads of horror and less of comedy, is this a new turn?

The horror-comedy will hit the screens on October 14

The trailer of Sundar C's upcoming directorial venture, Aranmanai 3 is out. In what seems like a slight contrast from the previous two instalments of the horror-comedy franchise, the trailer of Aranmanai 3 promises the film to tilt more on the horror side.

It doesn't mean the trailer promises something new... just different. It has the vengeful ghost. It has the buildup to a paranormal presence. It has a palace...duh!. Of course, it has a kid who can see things. Can there be a Sundar C film without romance, a bevy of comedians, and liberal doses of commercial cinema requisites? It is rhetorical.

We see glimpses of what (of course... it is Andrea's ghost) is tormenting the lives of Arya, Raashi Khanna, and the rest. Also... there is a CGI Lion statue coming to life. What else do you want?

And in an emotional turn of things, we see a scene featuring the late actor Vivekh along with Yogi Babu. It was supposed to make us laugh, and it just might have if not for the overwhelming feeling of sadness that comes from seeing the legendary actor once more on the big screen.

Aranmanai 3, distributed by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies, will hit the screens on October 14.

Produced by Sundar C and Khushbu's home production  Avni Cinemax, the film also stars actors like Sakshi Agarwal, Sampath, Manobala, and Vela Ramamoorthy. With Sundar C's usual collaborator UK Senthil Kumar handling the cinematography, C Sathya is composing music for Aranmanai 3.
