The trailer of Sasikumar-Jyotika starrer Udanpirappe has been released. Billed as an emotional family drama, the film is about the relationship between two siblings played by Sasikumar and Jyotika.

Samuthirakani essays the role of Jyotika's husband in the film. While Samuthirakani's character believes in the law, Sasikumar's character believes only in the truth and the two are at loggerheads. How they reunite seems to be what the film is about.

Udanpirappe is written and directed by Era Saravanan. The film marks Jyotika's 50th outing as an actor. Kalaiyarasan, Nivedhithaa Sathish, and Soori are seen in supporting roles. In addition to acting in the film, Jyotika has co-produced it with her husband and actor Suriya.

The film has cinematography by Velraj and editing by Ruben while D Imman has composed the music. It is set to premiere on October 14 on Amazon Prime Video.
