Happy Men's Day: Here is a list of 10 stars who played loving single fathers

Fathers are Godsent. On this men's day, we take a look at stars from Tamil cinema who also doubled up as mothers on-screen.

Team CE
Jayam Ravi-Tik Tik Tik Jayam Ravi's Vasu literally goes out of the world to give the life his son deserves. The film throws light on the lesser-discussed friendly bonding between a son and father.
Kamal Haasan-Mahanadhi Kamal's Krishna is a relentless giver. Despite the consistent tragedies in his life, he never ceases his pursuit to give a safe future to his kids and doubles as their mother.
Prabhu-Manam Virumbudhe Unnai Prabhu's Shanmugam, is a cheery father, who refuses to get married for the good future of his adopted kids. He even goes ahead to sacrifice his love life.
Mammootty-Peranbu Mammootty's Amudhavan tries to build a future for his kid, even when he gets broken with every step he takes and learns from his past mistakes without any hesitation.
Sivaji Ganesan-Thevar Magan Sivaji's Periya Thevar is probably the oddest father in this list, as he has a love-hate relationship with his son. Despite their differences, he dares to trust his son.
Vijaykanth-Chatriyan Vijaykanth's Panneer Selvam raises his kids alone and hides his dark past so that they don't miss their mother. But when danger comes knocking all hell breaks loose.
Karthi-Siruthai Though Karthi's Rathnavel Pandian is a rough cop and a nightmare to the enemies, he is a soft-spoken, loving father to his daughter once he goes off-duty.
Vijay-Theri Vijay's Vijay Kumar aka Joeseph Kuruvilla is a tender-hearted father who doesn't mind being fully submissive to his little daughter. Full points for the twinning costumes!
Ajith-Yennai Arindhal Ajith's Sathyadev must be a top-ranker if there was an exam for the best single dad, because his daughter wishes him on mother's day too!
