Jailer 2's production banner Sun Pictures announced on Wednesday that the second song from the Rajinikanth starrer that is titled 'One Sun One Moon' will release on September 25, Friday. Kalanithi Maran's production banner made the announcement with a quirky video, where the film's director Nelson and composer Anirudh can be seen having constant back-and-forth about what the song should be like.

At one point in the video, Nelson tells Anirudh to make the song 'international mass,' only to listen to the output later and give another feedback to the composer. This back-and-forth goes on for a few minutes before both Anirudh and Nelson start to lose patience and make fun of each other's calibre. Even at the end of the video, the hilarious exchange between the two does not end, keeping the audience guessing about what the song will be like.

The first single from Jailer 2 that is titled 'Ala Bolelo' released on August 21, and it has received a mixed response from audiences. While many appreciated the catchy tune and the dance choreography in the song, the track also has its fair share of detractors who call out its lyrics.

Coming back to the second single, its title suggests that the song would most likely be an elevation track for the film's lead actor Rajinikanth. It is worth noting that the title alludes to the catchphrase "One sun, one moon, one Superstar," which the actor's fans fondly use to refer to him. The song's promotional video featuring Nelson and Anirudh also has a brief portion including the voice of Rajinikanth's character in the franchise, named Muthuvel Pandian.

As reported earlier, Jailer 2 is slated for an October 15 release in theatres worldwide. Much like the 2023 first part, the film has a large ensemble cast that also includes actors from other regions, such as Shivarajkumar, Vidya Balan, and Suraj Venjaramoodu, among others.
