Actor-politician Kamal Haasan's fabric brand KH House of Khaddar has won an award in the USA for its product Sutura. Amritha, Design Head of KH House of Khaddar, received the award.

At the recently held Runway Seven Fashion Awards, the brand's Sutura won Best Ready-to-Wear Collection. This is one of the biggest international recognitions the brand has won four since its inception, with a vision to take Khadi to the West.

Sutura was first introduced on the global stage at New York Fashion Week in 2024. The collection, which intertwines the character of Indian textile traditions and contemporary design language, is named Sutura after the Latin word that means "Thread".

For Kamal Haasan’s House of Khaddar, the recognition is a celebration not only of a collection, but of the larger idea that Indian textiles, craftsmanship, and design can cross borders while retaining their identity.
