Shane Nigam’s next Tamil film, tentatively titled Shane 28, has been announced on Monday. It is produced by Maas Studios and directed by debutant Jegan Periyasamy, a former associate of filmmaker Atlee. The upcoming project is set against a cricket backdrop.
Shane 28 marks the Kumbalangi Nights actor’s third Tamil outing after his debut with Vaali Mohan Das’ Madraskaaran. He was subsequently seen in Unni Sivalingam's Malayalam-Tamil bilingual Balti, a sports actioner centred on kabaddi and co-starred Selvaraghavan as the antagonist.
On the technical front, Shane 28 has editing by R Ramarand and cinematography by Rasamathi. The makers are expected to announce further details, including the rest of the cast, soon.
Meanwhile, Shane is also set to make his Telugu debut with debutant Udagandla Balasagar's action thriller, tentatively titled Shane 27.
