Director Mari Selvaraj took to social media to announce that his upcoming directorial, Manjanathi has wrapped the first schedule of filming. The director has also produced the film along with his wife Divya, under their Navvi Studios banner. Also producing is Sushant Prasad, under his Skanda Pictures banner, with the Fortune banner also backing the film.
"The first schedule of Manjanathi has been completed. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude and love to everyone who made there wonderful days and memorable experiences possible," wrote Mari Selvaraj, who also shared pictures from the sets.
While the project was first announced in June, this year, filming commenced in September.
The cast of the film includes Priyanka Mohan, Kayadu Lohar, Kathir, Poornima Ravi, Vidhu, and Kaaka Muttai-fame J Vignesh.
With Ilaiyaraaja composing music for the film, the crew also includes cinematographer Ezhil Arasu K, editor Selva RK, art director Ramu Thangaraj, and stunt choreographer Dhilip Subbarayan.
Manjanathi is Mari Selvaraj's return to direction after Bison Kaalamaadan (2025). The director is also backing the Ameer headliner Maakali, which is the directorial debut of his former assistant director, SB Aravinth.
