Over two weeks after its theatrical release, Jailer 2's action director Chethan D'Souza on Thursday reminisced about his collaborations with Vijay Sethupathi and Jackie Shroff in the film. Both actors have cameo appearances in director Nelson's film, starring Rajinikanth in the lead role. However, Chethan has relished the opportunity to work with them.

Regarding Vijay Sethupathi, the Jailer 2 stunt choreographer wrote, "The way he improvises his scenes, plays around with dialogues, and brings something of his own to even the smallest moments is amazing to watch. What stood out to me the most was the thought and effort he puts into every single shot. Really glad I got the chance to work with him and witness his creative process up close."

Vijay Sethupathi appears at the end of the film, delivering a punchline to Rajinikanth's Tiger Muthuvel Pandian. He is a new addition to the Jailer franchise, and his sequence is part of a broader scene that teases a third part in it.

On the other hand, Jackie Shroff reprises his role as Kamdev, a loyal ally to Rajinikanth's character from 2023's Jailer, to which the film serves as a direct sequel. Speaking about watching Jackie go about his business up close, Chethan wrote, "From watching you on TV as a kid to working with you on the sets of Jailer 2, never thought life would come full circle like this."

The Jailer 2 stunt choreographer added, "From action cuts to surprise video calls, there are so many little moments I’ll always remember. Such a legend, yet so humble and grounded. It’s been an absolute pleasure, sir. Thank you for the memories!"

Earlier, Chethan D'Souza shared similar notes for other stars in the Jailer sequel, including the scene-stealing Namo Narayana, composer Anirudh, and the gang of female warriors in the film.
