On Monday, Suriya's production banner Zhagaram Studios released the second song from the film Scene, directed by Jithu Madhavan. Titled 'Aeroplane,' the song is composed by Sushin Shyam and has vocals by Mukesh Mohamed. The lyrics by Rakendu Mouli hint at the strong bond between Suriya and Nazriya Nazim's characters in the film. Much like the first song from Scene, 'Aeroplane' also presents the two actors as if they are characters in a video game. The makers of the film are yet to reveal the specifics of Suriya and Nazriya's characters in it, but the song hints at a possible romantic connection between them while retaining an element of mystery behind their relationship.
The song has received positive response from viewers, with many of them praising its peppy and energetic tunes from Sushin Shyam, the chemistry between Suriya and Nazriya, and Suriya's 'moonwalk' dance step in the lyrical video.
Scene marks the first collaboration between Suriya and Nazriya, as well as between the former and writer-director Jithu Madhavan. The film also stars Naslen in an important role, alongside Anandraj, Lal, and Raj Priyan.
Suriya's 47th film, it marks Jithu Madhavan and Sushin Shyam's debut in Tamil cinema. It brings the Romancham (2023) and Aavesham (2024) filmmaker back together with the music director. So far, the audience has been singing praises of Sushin's music in the film, with some of them opining that they are listening to 'Aeroplane' on loop.
Produced by Suriya and his wife Jyotika through their Zhagaram Studios and 2D Entertainment banners, the upcoming film's technical team also includes cinematographer Vineeth Augustian, editor Ajmal Sabu, production designer Ashwini Kale, art director A Rajesh, and stunt choreographer Chethan D’Souza. The film is slated for a November 06 release in theatres.
