With less than a month left for the release of Suriya's third film of the year, Scene, directed by Jithu Madhavan, anticipation for the film is at an all-time high. The makers recently unveiled the first single from the film, titled 'Aathi Iva Yarraa', giving an audience the first glimpse of Nazriya Nazim's look in the film.

Ever since the makers unveiled the title teaser in September, announcing Suriya 47 as Scene, fans have been coming up with various theories about the actor's character. As the character is described to be a witty cop but is shown to walk with the support of Raj Priyan in the introductory scene of the title glimpse, theories have been cropping up about whether Suriya is a visually impaired police officer.

Now, Parithabangal-fame Dravid Selvam, who is writing the dialogues for Scene in Tamil, has issued a clarity on the character. Speaking to CE, while promoting the actor's own Drones, Dravid said, "No," when asked whether Suriya is essaying a blind character. Furthermore, he asked fans to refrain from believing theories and rumours and to wait patiently for the film's release.

Jithu Madhavan's third film, after Romancham and Aavesham, Scene also stars Naslen and marks the filmmaker's Tamil debut. There is also some speculation about Naslen starring in it in the role of an antagonist, although the producers are yet to confirm it. Anandraj and Lal are also a part of the film's cast.

Suriya and Jyotika are producing the film under their Zhagaram Studios and 2D Entertainment banners. Jaishree Damodaran serves as a co-producer for the film. The makers continue to keep plot specifics under wraps. The film's technical team includes music composer Sushin Shyam, cinematographer Vineeth Augustian, editor Ajmal Sabu, production designer Ashwini Kale, stunt director Chethan D’Souza, and art director A Rajesh. Scene is slated to open in theatres for Deepavali on October 6.
