At the success meet conducted for Ashok Selvan's latest film, Anbil Avan, the actor address the mixed reviews for the film. Apart from headlining the film, Ashok Selvan has also produced and written for the film.
"Is this a perfect film? No. It has its flaws. But I believe its heart and soul are in the right place, because it has hit a lot of people in a very personal space. Even the films in my career, like Kootathil Oruthan and Nitham Oru Vaanam, received mixed reviews from critics but they later sparked discussions," said the actor.
He added, "While there is a commerical meter to this film, there is a personal layer to it." The actor also urged the audiences to watch the film in the theatres and not wait for it to premire on OTT.
Anbil Avan is the directorial debut of R Kaarthikeyan, and also stars Revathi, Sabumon Abdusamad, Kadirbalu, Maha Delhi Ganesh, and Kadirbalu, among others.
