Suriya's production banner, Zhagaram Studios, announced on Tuesday that the first song from the actor's upcoming film Scene is set to release on October 08, Thursday. The song is titled 'Aathi Iva Yarraa' and is composed by Sushin Shyam. Zhagaram Studios made the announcement with a poster featuring smaller versions of a man and a woman, seemingly Suriya and Nazriya Nazim's characters. Written and directed by Jithu Madhavan of Romancham and Aavesham fame in his Tamil debut, the upcoming film also stars Naslen in an important role.
Suriya and Jyotika are producing the film under their Zhagaram Studios and 2D Entertainment banners. Jaishree Damodaran serves as a co-producer for the film. The makers continue to keep plot specifics under wraps. The recently released teaser confirmed the months-long speculation that Suriya plays a police officer in the upcoming film. There is also some speculation about Naslen starring in it in the role of an antagonist, although the producers are yet to confirm it.
Scene marks the 47th film in Suriya's career. It brings the actor together with Nazriya and Naslen for the first time ever. The cast also includes Anandraj, Lal, and Raj Priyan, among others.
Besides Sushin Shyam, the film's technical team also includes cinematographer Vineeth Augustian, editor Ajmal Sabu, production designer Ashwini Kale, stunt director Chethan D’Souza, and art director A Rajesh. The Tamil dialogues for the film are written by Dravid Selvam of Parithabangal fame, who is also an actor known for his roles in last year's Dude and this year's Idhayam Murali. Recently, Dravid Selvam described the upcoming film as an "Adipoli Sathanam," which roughly means an amazing film.
Scene is set for a November 06 release in theatres. Suriya's upcoming films also include one project with his Jai Bhim director TJ Gnanavel.
