Sundeep Kishan-headliner, Sigma, which opened in theatres on Friday, has maintained a steady pace through its opening weekend, despite witnessing a dip in occupancy on Saturday. The film recorded its best numbers on its opening day before settling at the same gross on both Saturday and Sunday.

On its third day, Sunday, Sigma collected Rs 1.70 crore in gross at the Indian box office, taking its India gross to Rs 6.10 crore. The film recorded an occupancy of 23.6 per cent across 1,753 shows. Its India net collection currently stands at Rs 5.35 crore, while the film has not recorded any overseas collections so far, as per a report on Sacnilk.

Tamil Nadu continues to be Sigma's strongest market, contributing Rs 3.15 crore to its three-day gross. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have contributed Rs 2.18 crore, followed by Karnataka at Rs 47 lakh and Kerala at Rs 24 lakh. The film's Sunday collection remained unchanged from Saturday, when it also grossed Rs 1.70 crore.

Among the other recent Tamil releases, Sigma has posted a comparatively stronger opening weekend than the smaller-scale Dorothy and Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai, while Meesaya Murukku 2 and the long-running Mandaadi have continued to draw higher numbers in theatres. Vijay Sethupathi's Baththa, meanwhile, has also been registering strong numbers in its opening run, making Sigma one of the notable performers among the newer releases currently in theatres.

The film follows a youngster named Guru (Sundeep Kishan) whose path crosses with a drug racket even as he faces much debt and tries to preserve his familial property. His life situation forces Guru to come up with a heist plan with his friends, with an eye on reclaiming what he and his family have lost, and this leads to chaos and confrontations. Besides Sundeep Kishan, Sigma stars Sampath Raj, Faria Abdullah, Raju Sundaram, Yog Japee, and Shiv Panditt.
