The makers of Maragadha Naanayam 2 have announced that the upcoming film has wrapped filming. Aadhi, who was last seen in Sabdham (2025), is returning to headline Maragadha Naanayam 2.

The upcoming film is a sequel to Maragadha Naanayam (2017), which followed a couple of small time thieves who are tasked with finding the titular gem. Maragadha Naanayam 2 was announced in 2023, and went on floors this February. The director the first film, ARK Saravanan, is returning to write and direct the upcoming sequel.

The cast of Maragadha Naanayam 2 includes Nikki Galrani Pinisetty, Munishkanth, Anandaraj, Sathyaraj, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Daniel Annie Pope, Arunraja Kamaraj, and Muruganandam, among others.

The crew of the film includes composer Dhibu Ninan Thomas, cinematographers Deepak D Menon and PV Shankar, editor Thirumalai Rajan R, art director NK Rahul, and stunt choregrapher PC Stunts.

Sudhan Sundaram is producing the upcoming film under his Passion Studios banner alongside Dev under the Axess Film Factory banner, KV Durai under the Good Show banner, Manish Singhal under the Dangal TV banner, and Durgaram Choudhary under the RDC media banner.
