On Sunday, Sun Pictures released the full video of the 'Ala Bolelo' song from its recent blockbuster Jailer 2, starring Rajinikanth and directed by Nelson. It comes two months after the makers of the film released the lyrical video of the song. The special dance sequence features Shamna Kasim shaking her legs gracefully with a large set of background dancers, with Suraj Venjaramoodu and Rajinikanth's characters moving around them. In a recent conversation with Cinema Express, Shamna revealed that she was pregnant at the time of shooting the song — a fact she happened to learn only later.

'Ala Bolelo' has composition and vocals by Anirudh as well as lyrics by Arunraja Kamaraj. The additional vocalists for it include Niranjana Raman, Aparna Harikumar, and Deepthi Suresh. The song initially faced criticism from the Malayali audience, who questioned the authenticity of the lyrics. However, its catchy tunes and dance choreography appealed to the masses, making it quite a popular song.

The latest full video of 'Ala Bolelo' has already garnered around 50,000 views on YouTube. On the other hand, the recently released lyrical video of the song has more than 100 million views.

In a recent promotional event, Jailer 2 stars Suraj Venjaramoodu and Mirnaa made fun of Anirudh, asking him whether the lyrics are even Malayalam. Suraj quipped, "Alla Bolelo, Pitha Bolelo... What kind of Malayalam is even this?" Mirnaa joined her co-star, saying, that they looked up on all dictionaries for the meaning of the lyrics, but to no avail.

Jailer 2 is still running in theatres amidst the latest Diwali releases, such as Suriya's Scene, Nayanthara's Mookuthi Amman 2, and Ranbir Kapoor's Ramayana. After becoming the highest-grossing Tamil film of all time, it is set to become available on Prime Video on November 12, Thursday.
