Karuppu: Vijay Devarakonda, Riteish Deshmukh, Vishnu Vishal and others praise Suriya-starrer

Top actors from across languages have been showering praise for Suriya's latest film Karuppu which opened in theatres on Friday after multiple setbacks. With the film receiving appreciation from all quarters, stars like Vijay Devarakonda, Riteish Deshmukh, Vishnu Vishal, Siddharth and Dhanshika expressed their happiness on the film garnering love from fans.

Sharing his joy, Vijay Devarakonda said he was ecstatic to witness the "overwhelming love" for Suriya's film. "Hearing it is huge. Love love love the news, for the brilliance he has been showing us on screen, giving his everything every year.. finally when the theaters are loud and noisy it fills all of us with Joy," he wrote, congratulating the actor and director RJ Balaji.

Vishnu Vishal said Tamil cinema needed to deliver a "nationwide blockbuster" noted how Karuppu would bridge that gap. "Congratulations Suriya na... having been a fan of you for so many years this is sooo exciting to see," he said, extending his wishes to RJ Balaji and producer SR Prabhu for their efforts.

Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh called Suriya his "dearest friend" and shared his appreciation for Karuppu's success. "May the blockbuster run continue…. Much love," he added.

Siddharth took to his Instagram story and called Suriya a "superstar" while sharing an image of him from Karuppu. "He works harder than most. Always happy when he wins. Congrats RJ Balaji. Your journey will inspire so many. You've earned every bit of this," he wrote.

Sai Dhanshika said there were many "whistle-worthy moments" in Karuppu. "Seeing Suriya sir's own Vettai Karupu and carry that aura throughout the film was truly magnificent. The impact of Trisha’ screen presence is definitely a boon for the film. Really enjoyed Sai Abhyankar’s music too! DOP GK Vishnu his work s-peaks," she wrote, underlining that the film is a "great win for Tamil cinema."

Karuppu stars Trisha as the female lead, reuniting with her Aaru (2005) co-star Suriya. The supporting cast includes Yogi Babu, Indrans, Sshivada, Swasika, Natty, Supreeth Reddy, and Anagha Maya Ravi. RJ Balaji also plays a key role in the film.
