On May 04, Trisha's birthday, Radikaa Sarathkumar sent her a birthday wish, and it has been linked it to the victory of Vijay's party, TVK, in the Tamil Nadu election. "Best birthday gift," Radikaa reportedly told Trisha on the latter's special occasion and the day on which TVK won the election with 108 seats. Since then, netizens have been connecting her comment to Trisha's alleged relationship with Vijay and viewing it as Radikaa's indirect support of the so-called 'extramarital affair'.

Since her comment, Radikaa Sarathkumar has been facing criticism from feminism advocates online. According to them, the actor's remark goes against feminism in that supporting Trisha means not backing Vijay's spouse, Sankgeetha, who recently filed for divorce with the superstar-turned-CM.

Actor Khushbu Sundar has also been facing similar criticism for her support of Trisha. Earlier this Saturday, an X user criticised Radikaa for her stance, alleging that it is against feminism. "Tamilnadu as birthday gift - Great feminists Radhika and co. Power is greater than all values ethics and morals," the user wrote. Referring to Vijay's wife and children, the user added, "Respect to Sangeetha , Sanjay and Sascha in this regard."

In her response, Radikaa wrote, "Darling I am not a feminist, how do you actually know what I was referring to. Ethics u r refering about shld be asked to the right people. NO GUESSES Einstein."

On the work front, Radikaa was most recently seen in Thaai Kizhavi. She earned much praise for her performance as a matriarch in the film, directed by Sivakumar Murugesan. The film, too, earned critical appreciation and went on to gross over 80 crore from theatres worldwide, according to data from the tracker Sacnilk.
